The Thomas J. Dodd Research Center at the University of Connecticut

This facility was dedicated by President Clinton on October 15, 1995.  Senator Christopher Dodd played a crucial role in the Center’s development.  Devoted to the theme of human rights, the Center was named for his father who was a senior prosecutor in the International Military Tribunal, the first of the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials.   The Center supports the University of Connecticut’s mission of teaching research and service.  It acquires, preserves and makes accessible specialized research collections for students, faculty, staff, scholars and the general public in a technologically advanced, climate-controlled environment.

Senator Christopher Dodd spoke about his father’s influence at Hatikvah’s first anniversary dinner on October 2, 2005.  He also introduced Whitney Harris, the last surviving prosecutor from the Nuremberg Trials.  This dinner marked the 60th anniversary of those trials.    Click here for more information on this event.

Our traveling exhibit "A Reason to Remember" will be shown there from August 25, 2008 to October 12, 2008.
