Consultation Services

The history and lessons of the Holocaust apply to many different areas of everyday life.  Professional guidance can help people and organizations use these lessons in their work and on their projects.   Hatikvah’s Director is available for consultations to individuals or groups in many areas.
 
Teachers – one-on-one research for their classrooms group or class projects workshops on in-service days

Individuals – guided research in the library; recording survivors stories

Law Enforcement Agencies – hate crimes counseling for both victims and offenders

Schools – helping to write curriculum planning programs      

Theaters – providing background materials to make plays more authentic  In the past, the Director has worked with the following theaters on special productions…

  • Hartford Stage’s production of “Rose” a one-woman play about a Holocaust survivor. 
  • The Drama Studio; “Korczak’s Children”
  • Panache Productions;  “Bent” 
  • Westfield Stage; “Bent”

Media – The director has consulted with newspapers and written the following articles…

  • Springfield Republican  2004 – special edition on education explained the story of “A Reason to Remember” and why we remember the Holocaust
  • Springfield Republican  2006 – the Director was featured in “Teacher Talk”   

Churches and Synagogues – planning programs on Holocaust Remembrance, fighting prejudice and Interfaith relations
