“Paragraph 175”

The only documentary film in existence that deals with the persecution of gays and lesbians by the Nazi regime. November 2, 2003.

 “Paragraph 175” was the law in Germany that made homosexuality illegal. In the film survivors testify about their experiences in concentration camps and prisons.

The film was shown in conjunction with the exhibit “Creating ‘The Other’: The process of Exclusion in Nazi Germany”, which chronicles the persecution of many minorities.
