"Secret Courage" is a documentary about Walter Suskind, a Jewish member of the Dutch Resistance, who oversaw the rescue of 1,000 Jewish children in Holland.  The stories of the children who survived are interwoven in a warm and personal style that creates a tale of moral dilemmas and unfathomable courage.  Walter Suskind rescued 1,000 children by finding them hiding places but was unable to save himself.  Dr. Maurice Vanderpol of Newton, one of the children rescued by Suskind, told his personal story after the film.

The film was part of the Pioneer Valley Film Festival of 2007.
