An Evening with Academy Award Winner Hilary Swank and Innovative Educator Erin Gruwell

On Wednesday, March 21, 2007, there was a bus trip to the Bushnell Theatre in Hartford to hear these two speakers.

Hilary Swank starred in the film portraying the true story of inner city teacher Erin Gruwell. Through her teachings of the Holocaust and other unconventional methods, Ms. Gruwell was able to dramatically transform the lives of her troubled students and inspire them to succeed.
