What people are saying about "A Reason to Remember"
Rabbi Irving (Yitz) Greenberg - Holocaust scholar and President of Jewish Life Network/Steinhardt Foundation
"Hatikvah Holocaust Education Center's exhibit on Roth, Germany is a small gem - for it's size it is one of the best exhibits I have ever seen. The exhibit combines historical facts, sophisticated visuals, personal information, vivid human portraits, with insight and sensitivity and conveys the suffering and death with wise restraint and deep feeling. I recommend it highly."
Whitney R. Harris - former Prosecutor at Nuremberg Trials
"What touched me the most about this exhibit was the way it showed the devastating effect the Nazi terror had on ordinary people- simple, ordinary people just living normal lives in this tiny village that was their home."
Earl Lloyd - Basketball Hall of Famer when visiting the Center
"All you have to do is put the words 'Ku Klux Klan' in place of 'Nazis' and you have my story"
Lisa C.
Thank you for bringing your traveling exhibit to Georgetown, Texas. My 14-year-old son and I participated in a group tour set up by friends in our home schooling community. Joining us were four other teens and two grandparents. My son and I were the only Jewish people in the group…….
I appreciated that your exhibit, while far from sterile, did not show overly graphic images of the horror and that the emphasis was broadened to include all marginalized people instead of focusing solely on the Jewish people. I especially liked that it focused on the importance of empowering our kids' generation to stop racism and hate crimes by standing up to bullies and oppressors. The exhibit did an excellent job of connecting the Holocaust to the prejudice that continues today and our children took away a strong message about the role they can play in the prevention of future man-made Holocausts.
